About the Ride
Moonlight Madness
The Kaiser Permanente Moonlight Classic is a 10- mile, non-competitive late night charity bike ride through Denver’s historic neighborhoods. Benefiting Seniors Inc - Seniors Inc. is a 40 year-old non-profit agency dedicated to helping Colorado’s elderly and their personal independence.
Closed Course!
The 10-mile course will be filled with cyclists only! It will tour landmarks, new and old. Including, the Denver business district, Lower Downtown and the Cherry Creek shopping district. The entire course will be closed to all automobile traffic. Participants are welcomed to ride as many laps as time permits when the course closes at 2 a.m. Riders MUST pass the start line by 12:30 a.m.
Start - Colorado State Capitol
The Kaiser Permanente Moonlight Classic will start and finish at the foot of Colorado’s most recognizable landmark — The Colorado State Capitol in downtown Denver.
Registration and the After Hours Cycling Bash will take place on Saturday night from 8:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.
Start Waves!
There will be just two large waves - the early Family Wave for riders who want to still get a little sleep when they finish and the Gonzo Wave for those who want to enjoy the true nocturnal spendor of Denver.
We recommend that cyclists choose a wave that includes riders who are likely to pedal at a similar speed and mentality to your own.
